MIRADOR de SAN MIGUEL.
Situado ante la Ermita, levantada sobre la Torre del Azeytuno, de San Miguel Alto, en el Cerro de San Miguel, es el más elevado de los miradores de Granada y desde él se contempla una amplia panorámica de la ciudad y la Vega, del Albaicín y la Alhambra con sus murallas, y allá a lo lejos la Sierra Nevada y La Elvira, la vista queda extasiada cuando apreciamos la belleza de Granada y los sentidos se incrustan en el alma, recomiendo su visita al atardecer, aún cuando se debe ir con cuidado debido al apartado del lugar, pero es cuando éstas son más espectaculares observando la iluminación del Generalife y La Alhambra y a nuestros pies el misterio que se esconde en la ciudad.
La Torre del Azeytuno era el punto más elevado de la muralla zirí, íntimamente ligada a la creencia popular, de que allí había un olivo que daba fruto el día de San Juan, siendo el sitio elegido por los musulmanes para levantar un ribat o ermita fortificada.
